Nils is Hornet's Head of Growth. After conducting a one-year research exchange at the University of California, Irvine, he continues to work on projects in high-dimensional panel data and auction theory. His interest lies in deriving answers for the industry by using state-of-the-art research methods. His focus is on the intersection of data and quantitative methods applied to business and economic questions in the context of social network data.
Nils earned his bachelor's degree in econometrics and operations research from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He was also awarded a scholarship from the German Academic Merit Scholarship Foundation. He holds a master's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Columbia University and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in marketing at Goethe University Frankfurt.
