Marco Martinez del Angel is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of California Irvine. He received his Masters in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School. Before school, Marco worked in Washington D.C. as a Research Fellow at the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank. In his career at the Bank, he conducted research on Trade and Transport Costs. He subsequently worked at Microsoft Research New England. His interests include Big Data, economic development and history, and empirical macroeconomics.
